SOMATIC COACHING
​​"Soma" comes from Greek and means "body". Our bodies are living vessels of every experience we have ever had. Every emotion, memory whether we remember them or not are stored within the body. These imprints affect us on a cellular level and shape who we are and how we navigate through the world. Any emotional charge/emotions that didn't get released/expressed end up stuck in our body causing mental or physical illness/discomfort. Since the 'stuckness' is in the body, it needs to be released through the body.

​In our 1:1 sessions, you will have space to turn inwards and connect with whatever is present and seeking your attention. We work with somatic techniques, including Compassionate Inquiry, yoga, breathwork, and mindfulness, to gently uncover and release emotions, beliefs, and patterns that may be impacting your life.
Throughout the process, I offer you my presence. compassion, curiosity and guidance. ​I am here to support you on your path to self- awareness, healing and authenticity. ​​​​

COMPASSIONATE INQUIRY
Compassionate Inquiry is a somatic-based psychotherapeutic approach developed by Dr. Gabor Maté to gently release the layers of trauma, constriction and suppressed emotions embedded in the body, that are at the root of mental and physical illness and addiction.

POLYVAGAL INFORMED YOGA & YIN YOGA
Yoga has a huge impact on the nervous system supporting the journey of healing.

During our sessions, I might use techniques from Polyvagal Informed Yoga, Embodiment practices and Yin Yoga.
​
Polyvagal Informed Yoga includes practices such as conscious breathing, vagal nerve toning, mindful movement and meditation practices that help in rewiring the nervous system. These practices help to access an internal felt sense of safety and ease in the here and now.

Yin Yoga is a gentle yet powerful practice focused on holding stretches for a longer period to help you release physical, mental, and emotional tension. ​
CYCLE AWARENESS
Menstrual Cycle Awareness is a mindfulness tool helping you be in tune with your cyclical nature as a woman. Menstrual Cycle Awareness highlights the challenges and natural powers of each the phases and invites you to discover the wisdom that lies in your body.
