Learning from your body meditation

Our body is our home for this lifetime. It holds a lot of wisdom that can be access through developing more awareness. This meditation is a simple practice of learning from your body and tuning into its wisdom.

The practice involves scanning the body and naming sensations in the different body parts.

I invite you to do this practice with curiosity and openness. Have a journey with your body and have a conversation with it - how are the different parts of the body feeling?

After the practice

Follow this practice with some journalling on what came up - write down the words that you remember and take a look at them and have a reflection on

  • What is my body trying to tell me?

  • What does it mean?

Your body's wisdom is limitless. All of our experiences, all of our samskaras (imprints from the past) are held in the body.  Even if we are unaware of something on a conscious level, our body is keeping the score of what you have not processed yet.

If something is out of balance, our body tries to send us a signal to draw our attention but sometimes life gets busy and there is a lot of noise around us  and we can not hear what the body is trying to say.

Take some time to tune in, to feel into your body.

Be kind with yourself. If there is vulnerability, strong emotions - stop the practice to come back into your safe place.

Lots of love

Anna
